New looks that will WOW at the beach this summer

It is March, the weather is growing milder (hopefully for good), flowers are beginning to bloom, and daylight savings has come and gone. Ah, finally, spring has sprung! If you are anything like me, that means you are getting to work on your beach wardrobe fast! I am dreaming of hot sand, crashing waves, portable speakers, ice-cold aluminum cans, good friends, good food, and a good time. I am so excited to try out some new outfits on the beach this year. Since every beach experience is a little bit different than the rest, here are my top three looks for different occasions:

1. Simple and Sporty: for the days I am looking to be not just fashionable, but also functional. The type of day made for sandy play and surfing. I plan on rocking a classic black bikini. Over that I’ll wear a baseball jersey-style cover-up, super on-trend. I will make sure to pack a pair of jean shorts in case anyone is up for a game of flag football. Now, no coastal outfit is complete without a pair of designer sunglasses. In this case, I will bring along my absolute FAVORITE pair, my Ray Ban Aviators. Slip on my favorite rubber flip-flops, and I am out the door.

2. BeachyBoho: when I want to look effortlessly chic and am ready for a relaxing day full of lounging and reading, I will slip on my peach bandeau bikini. Overtop of that, I will pull on my favorite flowy, white sundress. To add some color to my look, I will wear a printed scarf headband. I will throw my hair up in a messy topknot; don’t want to look to coiffed for a day at the beach. Leather camel-colored sandals and my Ray Ban Wayfarers complete the look.

3. Day-to-night: What is better than knowing you will be at the beach for the entire day? Knowing that straight from the beach you have some awesome plans to eat/drink at a beach bar! For this type of occasion you have to keep in mind that later in the day you will need to be presentable enough to eat a meal in public. I would don my favorite Mara Hoffman print bikini. Definitely cute enough to be part of an evening look. Over that, I will pull on my blank, tank maxi dress, which is just the right amount of fitted and relaxed. I will wear my Tory Burch flops to the beach, but pack a cute, low chunky heeled sandal to throw on prior to dinner, and of-course my favorite pair of Ray-Ban blue mirrored aviators. Don’t forget a few bobby pins in case your hair is being a little unruly; pinned back beach curls will let your sun-kissed face take the stage.

Have fun at the beach!!
